This premium antique 100% pure brass Egyptian pharaoh decorative tray from 1969 is a boldly cast, sculptural collector's piece of extraordinary character — featuring a finely detailed bust of an Egyptian pharaoh complete with a striated nemes headdress, composed facial features, and a broad, layered collar, all cast in solid brass with remarkable definition and clarity. The pharaoh bust rises from a flat rectangular platform base supported on four angular tapered legs, lending the piece a strong, architectural presence. Set into the front of the base is a shallow oval dish bowl with a single rest notch and a small shield motif at its centre, seamlessly integrated into the overall sculptural form. A warm, uniform golden patina has developed across every surface over more than five decades — deepening in the recessed detail of the headdress striations and facial features, and bringing the casting's fine relief work into vivid contrast.

At a solid 458g, the weight of this piece is direct and immediate proof of the dense, thick-gauge brass used in its casting — a quality entirely absent from lightweight modern reproductions. A rare and conversation-worthy object, it sits as naturally on a collector's desk or library shelf as it does in a curio cabinet or heritage display — or an exceptional gift for someone who appreciates India's finest heritage craft.
